This policy explains what information thaddeusarndt.com collects and how it is used. The site and its lessons are run by Thaddeus Arndt as Thaddeus Arndt Music Lessons, operated by Preballin LLC ("we", "us"). Questions go to thaddeusarndtmusic@gmail.com.
Information you give us
- Contact and lesson forms. Your name, email, optional phone number, what you are interested in, your message, and your optional answers to "How did you find me?". Forms are delivered to us by Formspree and protected from spam by Cloudflare Turnstile.
- How you found the site. Forms and checkout also include the first page you landed on, the website that referred you (the site address only, without search terms), and campaign tags such as utm_source, gclid, or fbclid if the link you followed had them. The site keeps these in your browser's local storage so they can be attached to a later inquiry.
- Payments. Lesson and beat purchases are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects your card details and contact information such as email and phone number; we never see or store your full card number. We receive the payment confirmation, the service purchased, your optional answer to "How did you find me?" on the checkout page, and the attribution details above.
- Scheduling. Lesson times are booked through Calendly, which collects your name, email, and any answers you give on the booking form.
- Text messages. If you check the SMS consent box, we use your phone number to text you as described in our SMS Terms.
Information collected automatically
- Google Analytics and Google Ads measure visits, pages viewed, and actions such as booking clicks, and report ad conversions.
- Meta Pixel measures visits and actions such as starting checkout, for Facebook and Instagram ad measurement.
- Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used, including clicks, scrolling, and session replays, so we can find confusing or broken parts of the site.
- Visit summaries. A small first-party script on this site notes which pages you view, how long you stay, how far you scroll, and whether you click booking, checkout, phone, email, or form buttons. Together with the approximate city, region, country, and network name our host (Cloudflare) provides, this is sent privately to Thaddeus so he can see how people find and use the site. It does not use cookies, never reads what you type into forms, and does not store your IP address (a one-way hash is kept for up to one hour to limit abuse).
- Printed QR code links. When a short link from a flyer is opened, our host (Cloudflare) logs the time, device type and browser, referring page, approximate city, region and country, and network name. These records expire after 180 days.
- Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address like any web request.
Cookies and your choices
Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Pixel, and Microsoft Clarity set cookies or similar browser storage when the page loads. The site does not currently show a cookie banner. You can block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings, use a content or ad blocker, install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, and manage ad personalization in your Google and Meta account settings. The site still works with these blocked.
How we use information
- To reply to inquiries, schedule and teach lessons, and deliver purchases.
- To send lesson confirmations, reminders, and, if you opted in, occasional lesson offers.
- To understand how people find the site and which pages help, and to measure advertising.
- To prevent spam and fraud, and to keep ordinary business and tax records.
Sharing
We share information only with the service providers named above so they can run their part of the site, and when the law requires it. We do not sell your contact details or form submissions.
Text messaging: Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Children
Lessons are offered for kids and adults, but the site's forms and checkout are meant for adults. If a lesson is for a child, a parent or guardian should contact us and book.
Your requests
Email thaddeusarndtmusic@gmail.com to ask what information we have about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. To stop text messages, reply STOP to any message.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
