I've been playing guitar and bass for over a decade, alongside 22+ years of piano and a music degree from the University of Illinois. My approach to guitar teaching is rooted in music theory and ear training — you won't just learn tabs, you'll understand why things work.

The studio has electric guitars (Fender Stratocaster, Gibson ES-335), amps, and a full production setup — so whether you want to play rock, blues, jazz, or write your own songs, we've got the tools to do it right.

Do I need my own guitar?

Having a guitar at home for practice is important, but you don't need anything fancy to start. I can recommend affordable options. Guitars are available in the studio for lessons.

I'm a complete beginner — is that okay?

Absolutely. Many of my students start from zero. We'll build solid fundamentals from day one so you're set up for long-term progress.

Do you teach bass guitar too?

Yes! I've played bass for years and teach both electric bass and guitar. Many students learn both.

Do you offer online guitar lessons?

Yes — online lessons via Zoom or FaceTime are available for students who can't make it to the studio.
